Sanggumdang Central Broadcasting Station is a state television broadcaster in [[DPR Jindalea]], located in the capital city, [[Sanggumdang]]. SCBS is the only official source of television news for Jindaleans.

==History==
SCBS was established on 1 September 1958 as '''Nasilea Television Network''' ('''NTVN''') after the [[Jindo-Quenian]] war ended. Lanh Von-ji personally envisioned that the time was ripe for television broadcasting in the DPRJ, but this was not yet to happen. Thus, the NTVN began an 8-year period of preparation for commencement of television broadcasts, with the help of the national government.

NTVN was renamed as '''Central Broadcasting Television System ''' ('''CBTS''') in 1966, and conducted on 1 September the same year its first test broadcasts.

CBTS officially began operations on 3 March 1966 at 19:00 (7:00 pm)based in [[Sanggumdang]], broadcasting 2-hours between 19:00 (7:00 pm) until 21:00 (9:00 pm)on weekdays only, and then expanded to 4 and later 6 hours.

The Central Broadcasting Television System (CBTS) would later be renamed '''Sanggumdang Central Broadcasting Station (SCBS)''' and was officially relaunched at 17:00 (5:00 pm) local time on 3 January 1973 (the first working day in 1973 in DPR Jindalea).

==News programs==
Newsreaders wear the same outfit every day, though they may vary in color (black and blue for male newsreaders and green and red for female ), and have the same haircut of the same gender. Newscasters must strongly project their voices when on air. Newscasts start typically with a picture of the [[Sanggumdang]] skyline, followed by a slow fade to the anchor. The set has the background of Sanggumdang with the Presidential Palace. Nowadays even [[Mount Heysu]] or another view of Sanggumdang is used as the background for the newscasts; however, a newer studio was introduced in September 2013, including a background LCD panel where live images (such as a revolving globe or the flag of DPR Jindalea) are shown.

==Internatia Song Contest==
The [[Internatia Song Contest]] is broadcasted on SCBS and is the ONLY tv show with foreign influences to be aired on Jindalean national television.

It is one of the most popular programs on television. Every edition is being watched by at least 30 million people and is always being discussed on the streets of [[Sanggumdang]].

[[DPR Jindalea]] is one of the founding members of the competition and has never missed an edition.
