It is also the capital of [[States of Tikata|Tikatan state]] of [[Xanita]].  The city is home to over 2.2 million people, while the [[Turzy Metropolitan Region]] (including parts of the neighbouring states has more than 4 million inhabitants. City is situated on the river Imra.

It has become a media and industrial centre. Turzy has been an important financial centre for centuries, and is the seat of the [[Royal Tikatan Bank]].
