Lettuce participated in the Outernatia Song Contest 19. Their entry was selected through a joint National Final called Friendship Fest, organised by the Lettucian broadcaster LBC and the Folklorian broadcaster FKMTV. The highest ranked song from each participating country represented their nation at the Outernatia Song Contest.[1]
Gülnur Asanova finished third in the national final and represented Lettuce with the kyrgyz language song "Ak möördün armany".
At Outernatia
All countries, except the host country, were required to qualify from two semi-finals in order to compete in the final; from each semi-final the top nine countries progressed to the final, and a tenth was determined by the International Jury. On 10 February 2016, an allocation draw was held which placed each country into one of the two semi-finals. Lettuce was placed into the Second Semi-final, to be held on 11 February 2016.
In the Second Semi-final, Gülnur Asanova performed 10th in the running order, following Trolofloppia and preceding Ponásikwa. During the qualifiers show Lettuce was announced as the last qualifier and therefor they managed to qualify for fourth time.
In the final, Gülnur Asanova performed first in the running order, only following Pen Island. At the close of the voting "Ak möördün armany" had received 64 points from 11 countries, placing Lettuce 17th of 21 competing countries.
