The monarchy in Haven is a constitutional monarchy.

The current Royal House is the House of Haven.

Role

According to the Havenian Constitution the Havenian Monarch, as head of state, is the symbol that unite all Havenians. His power are determined by the constitution and approve laws voted by Council of Governors.

The monarch has his privy council, made of the best scholars and diplomats, to help him rule over the country.

Havenian Royal Family

In the Kingdom of Haven all members of the ruling dynasty that hold the title Prince or Princess of Haven are said to be members of the Havenian Royal Family. As with other Internatian monarchies, distinguishing who is a member of the national Royal Family is difficult due to lack of strict legal or formal definition of who is or is not a member. The Monarch, his children and his siblings belong to the House of Haven.

Main members

The Havenian Royal Family includes:

Succession

Haven has had absolute primogeniture since the creation of Haven. The Havenian Act of Succession restricts the throne to those descended from King Justinian I and his wife, through approved marriages.

Dynasts lose their right to the throne if they marry without the permission of the monarch given in the Council of State or if they convert to another religion. Individuals born to unmarried dynasts or to former dynasts that married without royal permission, and their descendants, are excluded from the throne. Further, when approving a marriage, the monarch can impose conditions that must be met in order for any resulting offspring to have succession rights.

Style

The monarchs of Haven is addressed as 'Your Majesty'. If the monarch is a Queen, her husband is addressed as 'His Royal Highness'. Princes and Princesses are referred to as His or Her Royal Highness, or His or Her Highness.

Popularity of the monarchy

The monarchy is really popular with havenians because the House of Haven is the ruling dynasty since the foundation of the monarchy.

Wealth of the monarchy

There are no official statistics but most analysts believe that the Royal Family of Haven is one of the richest in Internatia, with an estimated fortune of 50 billion $. Most of this fortune come from investments in private sectors or crown corporations like Haven Corporation. Since the Royal Family is the wealthiest family in Internatia, the royal budget isn't funded by taxpayers but with interests from their investments.
