The aleta (plural aletas; code: SRA) is the currency of San Remo since 31 August 1889. It is subdivided in 100 céntimos, although the céntimos were withdrawn from circulation on 1 October 1985 due to their diminishing purchasing power and circulation. As of 4 January 2013, the aleta's exchange rate was 42.7612 SRA per euro and 32.8857 SRA per U.S. dollar.
