The President of the Arab Republic of Gandhara (Arabic: رئيس جمهورية غانذارا العربية‎) is the head of state of Gandhara. Under the Constitution of Gandhara, the president is also the supreme commander of the armed forces and head of the executive branch of the Gandhari government.

Selection process

Eligibility

The Constitution of Gandhara allows the president to run for a 7-year term, which can be renewed once as of the 1990 revision of the constitution. The conditions required to be candidate at the presidential election are the following:

  1. A candidate must have the support of no less than 35 members of the National Assembly.
  2. A candidate must be 34 years old or older.
  3. A candidate must have permanently resided in Gandhara for at least 10 years before the election.
  4. A candidate must be Gandhari by birth, of parents who are Gandhari by birth.
