The Gandhari Socialist Republic (Gandhari: گانداری سوسیالیستی جمهوريت, Gandhāri Sosiyalisti Jumhūriyat), renamed the Republic of Gandhara in 1967, was the first republic in Gandhara. It is often called the Assiri Republic, as it was established in 1957 after General Ahmed Assiri of the Gandhari Socialist Union deposed Emir Mohamed Mansur at the end of the Gandhari Revolution.
