Tashken Head of State referendum, 2013
A referendum on the status of the Head of State of Tashkveny was held in Tashkveny on November 14, 2013. Tashkveny, which has been a republic since 1990, had seen various scandals regarding the President of the nation, the titular Head of State. Support for the Royal Family, living as private citizens in the city of Laomainn, had been steadily rising over the years, and the Tashken Democrats, elected with a majority in the Tashken Congress and Senate, rushed through a bill with the intention of holding a referendum on returning the Tashken Royal Family to their status as Head of State.
Tashken voters were asked the question:
- Do you agree that the role of President of Tashkveny, as established on 19 march 1893, should be abolished, and that, the role of Head of State shall revert to the Royal Family of Tashkveny, of whom Princess Alexandria of Laomainn will become Queen of the Tashken people? (Question in English-speaking areas)
- Pensez-vous que le rôle du président de Tashkvéné, établie sur le 19 mars 1893 devrait être abolie, et que le rôle de chef de l'Etat sont versées à la famille royale de Tashkvéné, dont la princesse Alexandrie Laomainn deviendra reine de la personnes Tashkén? (Question in French-speaking areas)
