The Bolivarian Bank of Lettuce (Spanish: Banca Bolivariana de Lettuce) is the central bank of Lettuce, and was established in January 2000. It is entirely government owned, and its headquarters are located in the financial boulevard of Hugo Chávez City.

The role of the bank is to promote the economic and financial well-being of Lettuce. The bank is responsible for the issue of the national currency and as such it sets the monetary policy, holds the currency reserves, and manages the exchange rate.

Responsibilities

The main tasks of the Bolivarian Bank of Lettuce are the following:

  • to act as a State Bank;
  • to promote the economic and financial well-being of Lettuce;
  • to control the issue of banknotes and coins of the national currency;
  • to manage the monetary policy of the country;
  • to regulate the exchange rate between the national currency and other currencies, and to supervise its observance;
  • to manage the lettucian official reserves.
