The Lettuce Broadcasting Service (LBS; Spanish: Servicio de Radidifusión de Lettuce, Lettucian: Sərviz d'Rədiodifuz d'Lettuche) is the state broadcaster of Lettuce, and one of the largest media organizations in the country.

After multiple delays due to disagreements over its structure and budgests, LBS officially began its radio and television operations on 23 January 2019, succeeding the Lettuce Broadcasting Corporation (LBC) as state broadcaster. Its formal goals include promoting the expansion of knowledge, Lettucian culture, and innovation in broadcasting.

History

Television channels

LBS operates three national television channels in Lettuce, being LBS 1 the flagship channel. In addition, the LBS operates four digital only stations: LBS 4 (a dedicated channel for lettucian states), LBS Sport, LBS k!dS, LBS 24h and one sattelite channel, LBS Sat. Digital television is now in widespread use in Lettuce, with analogue transmission completely phased out by December 2013.

LBS 1 The corporation's primary network, broadcasting mainstream comedy, drama, documentaries, game shows, news, major Lettucian movies and some children's programmes. The main news bulletins are followed by local news provided by production centres from the lettucian states. It's responsible for the lettucian participation in the Outernatia Song Contest.
LBS 2 Home to more specialist programming, including comedy, documentaries, films, dramas and minority interest programmes, as well as imported programmes from other countries.
LBS 3 Is the network for the Lettucian arab speaking community. Also available in Gandhara.
LBS 4 Dedicated to the country's states. It has local branches in all the lettucian states and for couple of hours every day it broadcasts regional programming, including local news and reports.
LBS Sport Is a 24-hour sport channel. It focuses on sports-related programming including live and recorded event telecasts, sports news and talk shows, and other original programming.
LBS 24h Is a 24-hour news channel. It broadcasts news reports, debates, analyses, interviews as well as rolling news.
LBS k!dS A dedicated children's channel, but also offers some programming aimed at teenagers during the evenings. It's responsible for the lettucian participation in the Junior Internatia Song Contest.

LBS Sat Is the international channel of LBS. Presents around-the-clock news bulletins, documentaries, talk shows, and debates, as well as sports news and cultural programmes about Lettuce.

Radio channels

LBC today runs four national domestic radio stations, which are aimed for the three predominant languages ​​in the country. In addition, the corporation manages 4 regional stations for each states and ethno-linguistic minorities.

LBS actually operates four radio stations aimed to lettucian state minority languages. All of them carries the blanket branding Radio 4.
