Withdrawal
In late November 2016, the head of Waticanian broadcaster RTVV, Cameron Hurley, announced that the Waticanian entry for the 30th edition of the contest would be their last. Hurley stated that a return to the contest is unlikely.
"Waticania's participation in the Outernatia Song Contest will come to an end after the 30th edition. The reason for this are financial difficulties, but also lack of interest in the country. We always had such difficulties, but with the recent withdrawals of some of the countries the Waticanian people seemed to like the most, such as V, Pen Island, Sunetti, amongst others, the interest has dropped to an all time low.
A future return to the contest is possible, but highly unlikely to happen soon. We wish all the other countries the best of luck and we thank them for the amazing 21 editions." - stated Cameron Hurley.
Two weeks later, Mr. Hurley gave out a new statement, saying that the entry for the 30th edition of the contest, Myrath's "Believer" has been withdrawn from the contest in Kimmystan, thus the Waticanian participation in the contest ended with the 29th edition of the contest.

Their best result is 2nd place in both the 21st edition with Amber Run's "I Found" and in the 26th edition with the EDM track "Stars Come Out" by RUNAGROUND & the Disco Fries. They hosted the 23rd edition of the contest due to Noxus' rejection to host the edition after winning OSC 21.

Waticania usually chose it's artists and entries internally, with the exceptions of the National Finals for the 16th and 27th editions of the contest - the Criplulbury Festival and Outerfest.
