Raingate, officially the Federal Republic of Raingate, is a country in Outernaia. Raingate covers an area of 261,625 square kilometres (101,014 sq miles) and has a population of 10.5 million within its ten provinces and two territories. The country is officially bilingual at federal level with the official languages being English and Afrikaans. It is bordered by Lettuce and Gandhara.
Raingate is a federal, parliamentary, representative democratic republic. Federal legislative power is vested in the parliament which is known at the Citadel. The Citadel is elected through direct elections using the mixed-member proportional representation system. The members of the Citadel represent and are appointed by the governments of the ten provincess. The president is the head of state and invested primarily with representative responsibilities and powers. They are elected by the Citadel and an equal number of state delegates.
