Festival Nacional de la Canción is the name given to the national festival, organised by Corporación de Radio y Televisión San Remana (RTSR), to choose the San Reman entry for the Internatia Song Contest.
Every edition of the festival will be held in a different city. The city to host the first edition of the festival was the capital Rhea. San Reman singers can compete, but the songs must be in Spanish or Portuguese. RTSR stated that the contest should reflect the culture of San Remo. After several artists send an entry, a professional jury will select the five best songs for the national festival. At the end of the national festival, television viewers will decide the winner.
