Vestlig's geography is characterized by the mighty river Glomma which flows through the whole region from Fjorden in North and south to Kollen in Vest-Goma. Hagelin is located in the southern part of Vestlig and the Glomma river also flows through the city. There are also mountains surrounding the city and people often come to this area for mountain hiking during the spring-autumn and when the snow falls down in the mountains, people come to go skiing. Outside of Hagelin you will also find the largest ski resort in Kimmystan. The highest mountain in the area is called Breilia and is approximately 2589 above sea level. | |||

KimmiTV requested proposals from the three cities concerning how they plan to organise the contest. Huttiheita offered to host the contest in the Huttieheita Culture Center, while Fjordvika offered the Fjordvika Music & Congress Center as a potential venue for the contest. The bid from Fettevika came together with plans to expand and upgrade the facility and surrounding infrastructure to meet the requirements set by host broadcaster KTV. The bids from Huttiheita and Fjordvika, together with the bid from Fettevika to host the contest in the Fettavikahallen, were accepted. KTV chose this time Fettevikahallen as the venue to stage the contest because they wanted the contest to be held in the in the south in a attempt of descentralized cultural activities of Nordfjord.
