The Outernatia Song Contest 22 will be the 22nd edition of the Outernatia Song Contest. Republica Libera were aimed to host this edition following the victory of Maja Keuc in the 20th edition with her hit song "Close To You". However the local broadcaster declined the offer to host the contest, so the runner up Kimmystan offered to help them out. Together the two broadcasters decided that KimmiTV will do the hosting of this edition.

On 6 April 2016, Kimmystanian Broadcaster announced that it had chosen Nordfjord as the host city for the contest. The contest will be held held at the Nordfjord Opera House, which hosted several editions of the Kimmystanian national preselection Kimmystan NF. It has an overall capacity of approximately 18,500 people.

Nordfjord

Nordfjord is the capital city of Kimmystan and is located in the Fjorden-region in the northern part of Kimmystan. Nordfjord is an important global city and financial centre with an urban population of 2.1 million. Most of the country's embassies can be found in this city. Both the region and the city is known for it's beautiful fjords and breathtaking landscape, and in the city you can eat traditional Kimmystanian food like bacalao, fish & chips and whale meat, of which the latter is a real Kimmystanian delicatesse.

This is the second time that the city is hosting the Outernatia Song Contest, but it has previously hosted the Junior Internatia Song Contest 18 and 17th edition of Outernatia Song Contest.

The presenters Josef Salvat and Sergey Lazarev.

On 9 April 2016, the Kimmystanian Broadcaster announced that Josef Salvat and Sergey Lazarev would be the hosts of the contest. Both Josef and Sergey has competed for Kimmystan in OSC in the past, and they came 2ndin the 18th edition and 20th edition respectively]. This is the first time there will be male hosts when Kimmystan is hosting the contest.
