Vehicle registration plates of Gandhara are used for official identification purposes for Gandhari motor vehicles.
Appearance
The license plate is rectangular in shape and made of aluminium. License plates for private vehicles have black characters on a white background, with the national flag and the two-digit country code GA on the left. The two-digit regional code is located on the square on the right hand side and the rest of the plate follows the format NNNLLL, where N is a numeral and L is a letter in Arabic script. On all vehicles two plates have to be present, one in front and the other in rear, except on motorcycles and tractors.
Regional codes
Regional codes range from 01 to 30, depending on the Gandhari governorate where the car is registered. Below is a list of the regional codes per governorate.
