| San Monique made it's debut in the Second edition of the contest under the broadcaster MTV, the NF consisted of Aura Dione performing 5 songs and the voters giving 12 to their favourite, 10 to their second favourite and 8, 6 to their third and 4 to their least favourite. With 7 nations voting including San Monique there was a possible winning score of 84 points up for grabs. "Geronimo" won with a total of 64 points and therefore will join Aura Dione at the 2nd edition of the Internatia Song Contest.

| The second ever San Moniquen NF for the Internatia Song Contest was hosted for the second time in Londre the capital, 5 nations including San Monique voted (2 down from the previous edition, but with Sibinia debuting), the same rules applied for voting with 12, 10, 8, 6, 4 points being awarded to each of the 5 songs competing. With 52 points the winner was Electric Lady Lab with the song 'Taking Off'.

| Due to MTV having financial troubles the 3rd entrant for San Monique at the Internatia Song Contest was be decided by a small national final, consisting of 3 songs by 3 different artists. September won with a maximum score of 36 points, her song "Hands Up" will accompany her at the 4th ISC. After the NF was held MTV went into talks with people from Channel 1 about sharing both the costs and broadcasting rights.

| With MTV undergoing financial difficulties, Channel 1 were brought in to pay for 50% of the costs and also had say in the internal selection of the artists/songs, with a fresh set of ideas being brought to the table, the 4th edition of 'Song Festival' is the biggest to date in terms of staging and international broadcasting; 10 nations including San Monique watched the national final making it the most popular ISC selection method in Internatia. 4 artists were revealed to be taking part: 'Mary N'diaye', 'Of Monsters & Men', 'Elisabeth Carew' and most surprisingly 'Electric Lady Lab' who already represented San Monique at the 3rd ISC finishing in the nations best ever position of 5th place.
