Spirevo was one of the first countries to join in the Internatia Song Contest and also the first to host it, in the Capital, Sansails. Spirevo also hosted the next edition, in the largest city, Zinzolin in the Voltica Arena. Interest in the country is remains high, even when the country had not done so well. Alyosha's 3rd place in Luna, Kosma, however, sparked a very large interest and the country was more interested in the contest. More well known artists applied to represent Spirevo, and the country has been in the top 15 since.

Selection

Spirevo's method of selection is internal from edition 8 onwards. Instead of lengthy national finals, SNTV has opted to choose within a group of aetists who have applied to represent the country for that edition. In the past, however Spirevo was an active National Final country, with national finals being held, even Spirevo Fest had been used as a National Final.
