Aonach made their debut in the 12th Edition of the Internatia Song Contest. The first Aonachian entry was selected internally due to a limited budget. However, a national final called AonachFest was introduced for the 13th edition of ISC in order to decide the Aonachian ISC representative.

Selection process
Due to a limited budget and uncertainty about how the population would react to the contest, RTVRA decided to chose their representative internally for the 12th edition. Sylwia Grzeszczak was chosen internally by the Aonachian broadcaster with the song 'Karuzela'. She performed the song in Platonia, Novatlantida,, and came 3rd in the 1st semi-final, qualifying to the final. There, Aonach came in 4th place with 141 points. RTVRA were extremely satisfied with this position, and decided to expand their budget for following contests, incorporating a national final to decide the representatives.
RTVRA organised a National Final called AonachFest in order to determine the representative for the ISC 13 in Siegeslinde, Spirevo. Six songs competed in the final, and the voting comprised of 50% SMS voting by the public and 50% Jury Voting. The Jury Voting comprised of a 5 member jury from 13 Internatia nations. The favourite of both the televoting and jury vote was Tamar Kaprelian and the song 'New Day'. She performed in the first semi-final in Siegeslinde, coming 7th and qualifying Aonach to the final for the second year in succession. In the final, she came a disappointing 19th.
This did not deter RTVRA from using the same process for ISC 14, despite the disappointing result. The selected song finished mid-table, and RTVRA decided to postpone AonachFest for one contest at least. Returning to an internal selection for ISC 15 returned Aonach to a second top 10 placing and a victory in the first semi-final. However, RTVRA's gamble to run AonachFest for ISC 16 once again ended up in disappointment. Rennata managed to qualify for the final, but ended up in 20th position, the nation's worst result so far. It was decided to run an internal selection for the near future in order to keep viewing figures as high as possible.
However, RTVRA decided to host a joint national final with Grolskira's broadcaster for the 18th edition of ISC. This resulted in rather disappointing places for RTVRA's choices in the national final itself, as well as the choice of the Aonachian public (Rosela Gjylbegu) being defeated by Katya Savylyeva.
