The national flag of Gandhara (Arabic: العلم الوطني من غانذارا) has a field of nine equal horizontal stripes, alternating green and black, and a white triangle at the hoist with a symbol of the Sun and four five-pointed stars. The flag proportions (width:length) are 3:5.
Symbolism
The colors green, black and white are three of the four Pan-Arab colors. The five green stripes symbolize the Five Pillars of Islam, while the four black stripes stand for the four sacred months of the Islamic calendar. The white triangle stands for the unity of the Arab nation.
The gold color of the Sun and the stars stands for optimism and hope. The Sun is being interpreted as typifying the 'glory of religion' and the four five-pointed stars are believed to symbolize the four archangels in Islam: Jibrāīl (Gabriel), Mīkāīl (Michael), Izrāʾīl (Azrael) and Isrāfīl (Raphael).

The official proportion of the flag is 3:5. The width of the green and black horizontal stripes are each 1/9 of the flag's width. The apex of the isosceles triangle is located at 1/3 of the length of the flag.

The current flag of Gandhara replaced the flag of the Al-Mansur dynasty. During the Al-Mansur era, the flag of Gandhara was dark green with a white circle featuring in light green an Arabic inscription. The inscription is the Arabic word for God, Allah. The diameter of the white circle was 2/3 of the flag's width and the distance between the hoist side and the circle was 1/9 of the flag's length.
