Grolskira is one of eight countries that participated in the very first Internatia Song Contest edition and one of two countries that participate in every edition of ISC.

History

No semifinals (ISC 1-7)

It all started with a quick intention to open up the country to more people in the world Internatia is from. Grolskira signed up. Having no basic-best English knowledge whatsoever, the nation made their roots spread into the ground for a long time until the roots have branded and couldn't be removed easily. Beginning with a lack of musical knowledge and taste (as the other history says), Grolskira shoot their first three entries out to have poppish beats and even had to wait for so many months to reborn again in the competition, just to send rock, folk, more popsish and K-pop entries all in a row when there were no semifinals at all.

When pop lovers era happened, the nation seemed to be helpless at stacking endless known song NF lienups with the taste the nation stopped liking after a while. The roots of ISC started helping out by Grolskira handing itself out an escape ladder. Sugestions happened. Via them and a bit of personal taste and discovery, the nation didn't get disappointed in the outcome in results and went very thankful about all of this. Especially Spirevo for letting them borrow their artists for a while, and get a 12 from the nation.

Fun, tears and champagne again (ISC 8-20)

And so the semis happened, where everyone usually gets too worried over being forgotten in semis to the wider audience of ISC. So did Grolskira, and even 6 times in this period. 5 of them were in a row. That middle of things was one of the worst Grolskiric moments of history, though with visible flaws songwise, including the infamous "rock'n'roll girl" and "pointwhore attempt". The first non-final when semis began already looked bad, but then followed a bigger Grolskiric pop streak, including indie-pop, that got them a ticket to final, even when one of the attempts had so many countries disqualified in one semi. Then Grolskira regretted to give points for a close country to qualify, guaranteeing themselves a spot to the final. And after the horrible 5-non-streak, Grolskira hit the light in the end of the tunnel, and finally qualified again in ISC 17, which had them having a 3-edition-span of Top 12 results, even a first runner-up position. The streak didn't do so well when Grolskira surprisingly qualified knocking out the big favorite to do well without voting them. Surprising qualification meant a bad result, in the end...

Worst moments (ISC 21-30)

But unfortunately nothing goes worse than having the old head of delegation shooting herself after ISC 12, the same done for so many people. Their lives were done, their hopes were done, and even if qualifying four times out of 10 in this time period, the nation didn't control themselves when their favourite entries got lost, mainly the ones from ISC 21, ISC 25 and ISC 28. The lattest gave the nation their worst result ever even placewise. Not last, but 26th wasn't reached before, when so many nations didn't reach ISC yet. Then the nation pulled into major depression, not even doing well with the ISC 30 entry they thought they could win with. ISC 23-24 also had the victory thoughts, but barely scraping from semifinals, this looked like completely unseeable for the win.

This also included the time Grolskira was about to have the longest final streak ever (8), but then the success got pulled down when Grolskira gave 10 points to 12th placed nation, tied with Grolskira themselves. An edition later, the nation held forces with Kosmallán and Spirevo to participate in their national final, where, an entry won for the nation that guaranteed the first time Grolskira qualified via International Jury vote. This also included the time Grolskira once again was prayed onto to stop sending famous entries. But qualified, at least with one of them.

Year 2015 (ISC 31-43)

And so, Grolskira followed the alternatives with last year's recruit of GrolSat. The television strongly believed that advertising everything and everyone would make the nation television-friendly and ISC-friendly. From ISC 21 on. And beginning to follow the alternative for the year 2015, Grolskira held a various different methods to pick a song: joined forces with Dvipantara to make up Lithuanian language celebration only (ISC 32); asked opinions on one song to check if when being famous, still can do (ISC 33); doing an entire marathon of music, picked by the nation's largest cities, and stripped down to only 7 hopefuls (ISC 34); begun their multi-national NF festival to make 4 entry choices and let people choose 1 possible without knowing who sent in what (ISC 35, ISC 36, ISC 42); inviting people to minus down entries they don't like (ISC 37); throwing a small duel-ful festival to determine one entry again (ISC 39); and finally, pinned down to nations' suggestions (ISC 38, ISC 40). GLTV was happy to co-operate with GLTV, mainly because Grolskira won ISC for the first time out of all these selections that didn't give nice time for others to choose entry for Grolskira. In ISC 39. The nation will have to give a long-life thank to Kwabs, and by the person, it seemed quite unordinairy to see a guy soloist winning after so long, last time being in ISC 21.

The insights of hosting were pretty fine, and even with long lasting of the necessary shows, in the end people were only glad the edition was over. Because of the hosting, GLTV appointed a special little host entry that pushed the winner of NF to ISC 42 instead, just that the nation could enjoy things out on their own with something "different" than usual. On that point the nation achieved 3 consecutive Top 10 finishes, which broke because of two consecutive non-qualifications.
