On August 7, 2017, the Lettuce Broadcasting Corporation (LBC) announced that Lettuce will compete in the Outernatia Song Contest 38, set to be held in Ojibwe Creek, Kaministiquia. Lettuce returned to the contest after a 7-editions absence, having last competed in the Outernatia Song Contest 30. The entry was selected through an internal selection, organised by broadcaster LBC. K will represent Lettuce with the japanese language song "Only Human".
