Flag of San Remo
The national flag of San Remo contains a field with six Yellow|yellow stripes and four green stripes, and a white triangle at the hoist with an image of the sun. The flag proportions (width:length) are 2:3.
The flag was created at the end of the 19th century and was formally adopted on 5 July 1889. The colours were intended to symbolise the following: the yellow colour is the national colour and stands for the sun, but also for optimism and pleasure, the green stands for hope and the white stands for a new beginning.
