On 2 March 2016, the Kimmystanian Broadcaster announced that it had chosen Hagelin as the host city for the contest.[1] The venue is will be the big Festhallen which is located just outside of the city.

Vestlig & Hagelin

Hagelin is the capital of the Vestig region, located in the middle western part of Kimmystan. Vestlig's geography is characterized by the mighty river Glomma which flows through the whole region from Fjorden in North and south to Kollen in Vest-Goma. Hagelin is located in the southern part of Vestlig and the Glomma river also flows through the city. There are also mountains surrounding the city and people often come to this area for mountain hiking during the spring-autumn and when the snow falls down in the mountains, people come to go skiing. Outside of Hagelin you will also find the largest ski resort in Kimmystan. The highest mountain in the area is called Breilia and is approximately 2589 above sea level. In the northern part of the region you will find large fields due to the many farms in the area, and due to the huge amount of trees there is also a lot of forestry going on in the area. This is the first time that the city is hosting the Outernatia Song Contest.

Presenter

The hostess Kim Holland.

The hostess of the contest will be the famous Lene Alexandra who is known for distinct and natural look, and her great vocal abilities .

Bidding phase

Two other cities, Huttiheita and Fjordvika, were also considered as possible host city of the contest. KimmiTV requested proposals from the three cities concerning how they plan to organise the contest. Huttiheita offered to host the contest in the Huttieheita Culture Center, while Fjordvika offered the Fjordvika Music & Congress Center as a potential venue for the contest. The bid from Fettevika came together with plans to expand and upgrade the facility and surrounding infrastructure to meet the requirements set by host broadcaster KTV. The bids from Huttiheita and Fjordvika, together with the bid from Fettevika to host the contest in the Fettavikahallen, were accepted. KTV chose this time Fettevikahallen as the venue to stage the contest because they wanted the contest to be held in the in the south in a attempt of descentralized cultural activities of Nordfjord. The venue in Fjordvika were also unavailable due to hosting the Junior Internatia Song Contest 21, and Huttiheita previously hosted the Internatia Song Contest -1 14.
