The 2012 Do'othyyayliyaen season was the 1st season of top-tier football in St Olaf. The competition began on 18 March 2012 and ended on 15 December 2012, with a summer break from 10 June to 1 July.
At the end of the season, the two teams who were placed last (Skaaswiq and Enby) were relegated to the 2013 First Division and were replaced with Ull and Wiehe for the 2013 Do'othyyayliyaen. The team that finished third last, Aedesex, played a two-legged match against a challenger from the First Division, Iymenneske. Iymenneske won the play-off (1-1 in Gafloofen and 1-0 in Haakonsby) and were promoted to the Do'othyyayliyaen.
Relegation and promotion to 2013 season
At the end of the season, Enby and Skaaswiq were relegated directly to the First Division, and were replaced by Ull and Wiehe who were directly promoted.
Five teams entered a play-off for the last Do'othyyayliyaen spot in the 2013 season. These were:
- A) Aedesex (by virtue of being the 14th placed team in the Do'othyyayliyaen)
- B) Iymenneske (by virtue of being the third placed team in the First Division)
- C) Owalby (by virtue of being the fourth placed team in the First Division)
- D) Yloedmoek (by virtue of being the fifth placed team in the First Division)
- E) Stoe'eplan (by virtue of being the sixth placed team in the First Division)
The four First Division teams first played a single game knockout tournament, with the winner (Iymenneske) advancing to a two-legged tie against the Do'othyyayliyaen team (Aedesex) for the 16th and final spot in the 2013 season. Iymenneske took the Do'othyyayliyaen spot with an aggregate 2-1 win over Aedesex.
