Mărium: Marimea - Laranjeiras: Itajubá  Mărium  Laranjeiras ERIS, EEL 1st round (2nd)

Not long ago, Outernatian weather satellites spotted something strange in middle of Eirenean Sea. Initial anomaly reports mentioned an exceptional stationary storm, but as the phenomenon refused to subside, or even move, scientists dubbed it "the Vortex".

As international curiosity began to mount, the Outernatia Council devised a plan to explore the Vortex. Because it's located in international waters, all countries wanted to participate in the expedition. Representatives from every nation joined forces and set out to the sea, but as the ship reached the Vortex, all communication with it was cut, and it disappeared from the radars.

Speculating the reasons for the mission's failure, the Council decided that the next party to try its luck should be smaller and more exclusive. In order to make sure the most qualified explorers are sent forth, two recruitment campaigns were planned, taking place in Mărium and Laranjeiras. The chosen ones will board two ships departing from Marimea and Porto dos Ventos, and set forth to uncover the Vortex's secret.

The coveted tickets for the exploration are awarded to the countries with the most glorious musical past. In order to prove their worth, all Outernatian countries are invited to submit a sample of their musical legacy in the form of an entry of theirs that has competed in one of the Outernatia Song Contest editions from 1 to 50. The captains of the vessels, V V Brown of the Laranjeirian Confederation and First Matriarch Agarna Mēr of Mărium, are prepared to lead the lucky winners towards the unknown, to an epic final showdown.

Mărium and Laranjeiras offer this perilous journey as their joint bid for Outernatia Song Contest: 50 Congratulations. The broadcasters ERIS and EEL guarantee a show that combines fantasy and reality as well as past, present and future in a way never witnessed before. "Into the Past" is an evocation of the contest's history, from past winners to flops, hits to misses. Everybody who has participated in OSC at least once is welcome to celebrate this magical moment with us.

The first semifinal takes place in Marimea, the capital of Mărium. This bustling maritime metropolis has an international atmosphere and inhabitants that embrace everything new and foreign with especial vigor. The venue is the floating Emforos Arena that's doing double duty as one of the expedition vessels. The second semifinal will take part in Itajubá, the capital of Vale Areado, the nothernmost region of the Laranjeiran Confederation, in the Royal Theatre of Itajubá. Mixing the picturesque old city with the modern upper city, Itajubá is famous for its clash of cultures and parties.

Coralia City  Oalia OLA 1st round (3rd)

Outernatia has strong hopes of becoming a futuristic world very soon. But we need to realise that our future is right here and right now. For ten years ago we didn't have Alan Walker, Virtual reality goggles, vibrators, hyperloop trains etc. You just need to realise what already is in front of us. Why wait for better days? The better day is today unless if OSC congrats 50 gets hosted somewhere else but Oalia. This is the reason why Your Future Is Now will be the slogan if the contest comes to Oalia.

"Hello, world. This is your favourite, fierce and gay president speaking. I would love to welcome you all to our future. We will dive into one of the biggest adventures you could imagine.

In Oalia everyone who loves will be welcomed. You will be welcomed whether you're straight, transgender, octopus, electronic allergic, socialist or fat. Hate is not the way forward a better world. Love is. And I believe that OSC Congratulations 50 would love to be hosted in a country that supports love and nothing else.

Welcome to Oalia!"

– President Wanghao
