Government
Bubblique is a Princessipality governed under a form of constitutional monarchy, with Princess Sara II as head of state. Although Princess Sara II is a constitutional monarch, she still has immense political power. The House of Roses have ruled Bubblique, since 1397.
Bubblique has been governed under a constitutional monarchy since 1913, with the Sovereign Princess of Bubblique as head of state. The executive branch consists of a Minister of State as the head of government, who presides over a seven-member Council of Government. Princess Sara II was appointed on September 4th, 2009.
The Princess shares her veto power with the National Council. The 27 members of the Council are elected for 3 year terms, 17 are chosen through a majority electoral system and 10 by proportional representation. All legislation requires the approval of the National Council, which is currently dominated by the central-right Union of Bubblique (UoB), who hold 23 seats. The only other party represented in the National Council is the left-wing party of Bubblique, which holds 4 seats. The Princessipality’s affairs are directed by the Community Council, which consists of 13 elected members and is presided over by the mayors of each major city. Unlike the National Council, councilors are elected for 7-year terms, and are strictly non-partisan.
According to the constitution, the Princessipality is subdivided into three states:
Mull – The most northern and oldest state which contains beautiful forests extending the whole state, known as the Bosque de Bubblique, or simply, “The Forest”.
Bobelo – The principal residential and resort area with the largest amusement and water park in Internatia.
Kula – The small southern section which includes many industrial areas, the main one including the industrial center “Athena”.
