RTV or Radio Television Victoria is Victoria's radio and television public broadcasting company, owned by the Victorian government. It is a member of the Outernatian Broadcasting Union. The network is based in Mirabella.

History

Founded under the name "Radio Viva" in 1980. During the 90's, the radio supply expanded to 3 networks for the major languages ​​of the country.

In 1991 the government bought the corporation, integrating Radio Viva to form the RTV as it is known today.

Services

Television

The RTV operates several digital only stations: VTV 1, VTV 2, VTV 3. Digital television is now in widespread use in Victoria, with analogue transmission completely phased out by December 2013.
