RGTV is established under a Royal Charter and operates under its Agreement with the Raingatian Parliament. Its work is funded principally through Raingatian taxes which is charged to all Raingatian citizens, companies, and organisations using any type of equipment to receive or record live television broadcasts. The fee is set by the Raingatian Parliament, agreed by the Prince, and used to fund RGTV's extensive radio, TV, and online services covering the regions of Raingate. Around a quarter of RGTV revenues come from the selling of RGTV programmes and services internationally.
