Template:ISO 639 name fr
French
Usage
This template is part of a series that resolves the ISO 639-1, ISO 639-2 and ISO 639-3 codes to language names.
It could be used by the template {{Lang}} with language code fr to include articles in Category:Articles containing French-language text, if the category was created (using {{Category articles containing non-English-language text |French |fr}}). For example: {{Lang |fr |some text in French}}, which wraps the text with <span lang="fr">. Also available is {{Lang-fr |some text in French}} which displays as French: some text in French.
It is used by {{fr icon}}, redirect {{fr}}, and {{Link language|fr}} to display the language of an external link. These templates could add articles to Category:Articles with French-language external links, if the category was created (using {{Non-English-language external links category |code=fr |name=French}}).
Redirect categories
- Category:Redirects from French-language terms (may be created using {{Redirect from alternative language category}})
