The venue for the festival was confirmed on June 30th, 2014 as the Gafloofen National Indoor Arena. The venue has a capacity of 12,000 with a potential eventual audience of 9,000. Tickets go on sale on Olavbillet.ov on June 10th, 2014 and were reportedly sold out in an hour.

The 2nd edition of the Gafloofen Song Festival will consist of a final concert on July 30th, 2014. Artists are invited based on their presence in the [[List of Olafslisten number ones of the 2010s|Olafslisten]] Top 8. Four artists are invited on June 30th, July 7th, 14th and 21st. In case of an artist already having been confirmed the 9th, 10th etc. entry will be eligible for an invitation as well.

The jury producing 50% of the result will consist of 5 females and 5 males. They will be in an age range of 16-25, 26-35, 36-45, 46-55 and 55+. Every jury member produces a full ranking, which will then be converted into a jury ranking based on the average ranking per entry. The other half of the result will be decided by app voting available to the public, in which a song can be approved with a thumbs up. The final tally in this vote produces a full ranking, which will then be converted into a public ranking. The combined vote produces the final result.
