Lettuce participated in the Outernatia Song Contest 4 in Apsolękh, Ponásikwa. Their entry was selected through the national final Be Our Star, organised by the Lettucian broadcaster Lettuce Broadcasting Corporation (LBC).

Perfume won the national final and represented Lettuce with the japanese language song "Spring of Life".

Perfume performed eighth in the running order, following Auspikitan and preceding Gandhara. At the close of the voting "Spring of Life" had received 64 points from 9 countries and the International Jury, placing Lettuce 4th of 11 competing countries.
