The Friendship Fest (formerly known as Lettuce & Folkloria Friendship Fest) is a joint national selection between several Outernatian broadcasters where they will select their entries for the Outernatia Song Contest. Each country submits several songs to be performed on live television and radio and then casts votes for the other countries' songs to determine the most popular song in the competition and/or the entry for each participant country.
Participation
Eligible participants include Active Members of the OBU and IBU by invitation of Lettuce Broadcasting Corporation. From 4th edition onwards, this invitation is sponsored by Lettuce Broadcasting Service
Active members include broadcasting organisations whose transmissions are made available to at least 95% of households in their own country which are equipped to receive such transmissions.
If a broadcaster wishes to participate they must fulfil conditions as laid down by the rules of the contest. A separate copy is drafted. As of second edition, this includes the necessity to have broadcast the previous edition within their country.
As of Friendship Fest 4, 5 countries have taken part at least once.
