The Heritage Music Festival is a joint TV song competition between Gandhara and the Lost Islands, to celebrate that the countries have the longest running national preselections for the Internatia Song Contest and the Outernatia Song Contest. Gandhara organized up to the Heritage Music Festival 18 editions of Nights of Gandhara, while the Lost Islands organized 19 editions of Kálitt Lódd Inasiyal and 5 editions of Kálitt Lódd Onásiyal, bringing the total to 24 national finals.

Format

The song contest is being produced by the country's national broadcasters Kálitt Píroth Ratelefass (KPR) and Radio and Television of Gandhara (RTG). Eight entries were selected for the contest, four from every country. The winner will be decided by international juries, who will award 12, 10, 8, 6, 4 and 2 points to their 6 favorite songs. Also juries from Gandhara and the Lost Islands will vote, but they will distribute 12, 10 and 8 points to their 3 favorite songs, as they are not allowed to give points to entries from their own country.

Participants

Eight acts will compete in the Heritage Music Festival. The competing songs and artists were announced on 9 July 2016.[1]
