Tashkveny, officialy the Commonwealth of Tashkveny is a sovereign state located in southern Internatia. Its mainland is bordered by Grolskira to the east, the Democratic People's Republic of Jindalea to the south. By sea, Tashkveny has borders with Volnytaria and Holy Kim Jong-Il's After Death Hangug to the north and Kosma and the 1-30 Regions of Sockistan to the east.
Tashkveny is well known as the most populous state within Internatia, with a population of over 154 million inhabitants, the majority living the industrious north of the country. The capital, Invertulloch (also the largest city), is the most populous, with 23 million living within the city proper, but over 50 million living within Greater Invertulloch. As the concentration of the population is in the north, the sparsly populated southern and eastern areas include mainly farming and market towns, with the occasional city, most around areas rich in natural deposits.
Tashkveny has a mixed history, with no less than 4 countries claiming to have settled in the area first. Nevertheless, it is commonly agreed that the first settlers arrived in 1636. Tashkveny has been directly under the control of Denmark (1645 - 1698), Spain (1698 - 1743), France (1743 - 1835) and the United Kingdom (1835 - 1932).
All of these countries have contributed to the unique culture and mixture of languages found in Tashkveny, although Danish and Spanish remain minority languages in the south and east of the country. English is the most spoken language within Tashkveny, with only around 3% of the population unable to speak the language. French is the second most spoken, with around 10% unable to speak the language. Scots Gaelic is the third, with around 36% of the population unable to speak the language. The majority of the Tashken population is bi-lingual, although it is not uncommon for Tashkens to be tri-lingual.
