Australia made its debut in the Forum Song Contest at FSC 151 in Genoa, Italy, and has participated ever since.
Prior to FSC 151, Australia, along with New Zealand, participated as Oceania. Australia won on its first participation with Jarryd James' song "Do You Remember" and therefore hosted FSC 152 held in Brisbane. Australia further won two more editions. Delta Goodrem's "Wings" won FSC 153 and Josef Salvat's "Till I Found You" won FSC 156.
