Cylari , officially the Frontier State of Cylari, is a state in the Frónçir region of Spirevo. Cylari borders Eskavaliera, Ursamine and Estaria, and is the most populous state in the country, and the 2nd most wealthiest, after Eskavaliera
Cylari was the first state of Spirevo. Its official nickname is "The Frontier State", a reference to the State's geography, since the state is on a plateau that sits on the border between the ancient Elartic Frontier, now divided between Kwonia and Pebblelenad. It is home to many important Spirevan cities, the most prominent being Zinzolin and Matsmitsón.
Geography

Cylari has an area of 4,122 square kilometers (1,592 sq mi). Of this area, 5.6% is used for agricultural purposes, while 35.8% is forested. Of the rest of the land, 24.4% is settled (buildings or roads) and the remainder (34.2%) is non-productive (rivers, glaciers or mountains). 35.9% of the total land area was forested. Of the agricultural land, 10.64% is used for farming or pastures, while 0.95% is used for orchards or vine crops. Of the unproductive areas, 1.11% is unproductive standing water (ponds or lakes), 1.01% is unproductive flowing water (rivers) and 0.03% is other unproductive land.

Cylari is the highest state of Spirevo, with towering mountains around the already tall Cylari Plateau. The city of Balaspald (pictured right) is the highest point in all of Spirevo, with the city's highest point, Fort Blanç, overseeing clouds, which at night, obscure the city itself below, which is a sight to behold. Matsmitsón is the state's lowest point, and is built in a dip within the mountains, which functions like a bowl. Although this means that Matsmitsón is prone to flooding, the natural-occuring drainage system in the form of a crevice in the lowest point of the city, which is in the middle, keeps the city dry, as well as being a good tourist attraction. The crevice is fenced around and about 80m wide, and is both extremely steep and a long fall down to the bottom, underground lake below. The surrounding mountains of the city also made it a very effective shield and wall against intruders, making it an incredibly hard city to take over.
