Asankon will participate in the Outernatia Song Contest 48 in Nordfjord, Kimmystan.
Before the Contest
For a second edition in a row, there have been calls to withdraw from the contest due to scheduling conflicts and the ongoing economic crisis that is still gripping Asankon. However, ARTVC confirmed participation early on 7 May 2018 saying that it is imperative Asankoni talent is represented in international contests. On 17 May 2018, Turkish singer Can Kiziltug was selected. Can mysteriously pulled out a few days later so on 21 May 2018, Asankoni broadcaster swiftly selected Ukrainian singer Mika Newton to represent the country with "Come Out and Play". With the press release, the broadcaster stated their intention to submit the song to Kimmystan within the coming weeks of the annoucement.
