Asankon will participate in the Outernatia Song Contest 49 in Fettevika, Kimmystan.
Before the Contest
ARTVC confirmed their participation in the 49th OSC on 7 June 2018. They then confirmed that they were looking to bring back a national final format. Ultimately however, ARTVC decided to pick their act internally. On 22 June 2018, ARTVC announced they had selected Swedish singer Darin with his Swedish-language song "Tvillingen" to represent the country in Fettevika. This marks the 4th entry that Asankon has sent to the contest, that is not performed in English. Darin is also the first male to represent the country since OSC 44.
