The host of I Internatia Cup will be announced on a meeting in Lördsberg, San Monique in May 2013. Five bids came before the deadline, which were Novatlantida, Sibinia, Spirevo, Sunetti and Tikata.

Hosting requirements

Joint bids of two member associations were permitted, and under exceptional circumstances, joint bids of three member associations also could be considered. The bidding process officially started in April 2013.

CIF (Confederation of Internatian Football) decided that For the 1st edition, eight stadia will be required, with another two as optional contingency.

The temporary suggestion of minimum stadia-requirements was:

  • 2 stadia with 60,000 seats
  • 3 stadia with 50,000 seats
  • 3 stadia with 40,000 seats

Bids

Five Internatian national associations signalled to CIF their interest in staging I Internatia Cup:

Novatlantida

The Novatlantean authorities first expressed interest in hosting the first Internatia Cup in 24 April, with the bid being confirmed a week later, in 3 May. The bid has caused a lot of controversy in the country, with some accusing it of being a ploy of the Government to suppress criticism against it and the nation's Royalty. The President of Novatlantida's Football Federation has denied this, claiming the decision to bid for hosting the Cup isn't political.
