II Internatia Cup bids
The host of II Internatia Cup will be announced on a meeting in Láirge, Aonach on 20 December 2013. Two bids came before the deadline, which were San Remo and Stylé as single bids.
Hosting requirements
Joint bids of two member associations were permitted, and under exceptional circumstances, joint bids of three member associations also could be considered. The bidding process officially started in November 2013.
CIF (Confederation of Internatian Football) decided that for the 2nd edition, eight stadia will be required, with another two as optional contingency.
The temporary suggestion of minimum stadia-requirements was:
- 2 stadia with 60,000 seats
- 3 stadia with 50,000 seats
- 3 stadia with 40,000 seats
Bids
Two Internatian national associations signalled to CIF their interest in staging II Internatia Cup:
San Remo
Football is the most popular sport in San Remo. After the national football team of San Remo managed to qualify for the I Internatia Cup in Irdminia and Mukaltin, the San Reman government became interested to host the second edition of the tournament. The official bid of San Remo was announced on 24th November 2013 by sports minister Germán Muñoz Delgado.
The sports minister declared that hosting the tournament would be a great chance for San Remo to show the country to Internatia in a positive way. The country has several venues ready and there are possibilities to rebuild some venues if necessary.
