Asankon participated in the Outernatia Song Contest 40 in Auspikitan with the song "Power" by Little Mix featuring Stormzy.

Before the Contest

After hosting two national finals, the broadcaster decided to go with internal selection. This was due to budget cuts and poor viewing figures. However, ARTVC did not rule out the National Final returning in the future. According to rumours the Broadcaster plans to revive 'GASCA' in the 45th edition but nothing is set in stone. On 25 September 2017, it was announce Little Mix with the song 'Power' featuring Stormzy would represent Asankon in Auspikitan.

At OSC 39

Semi-finals

Asankon was drawn to perform 6th in Semi-final 2, between the songs from Levie and Enot'ebia. It ranked seventh in the semi-final with 57 points. Additionally the song came second with the international juries.

Finals

Asankon was again drawn to perform 6th in the final, between the songs from Bartlett and Kaministiquia. Little Mix received 76 points which resulted in a 14th place. They also received 3 sets of 12 points.
