Asankon will participate in the Outernatia Song Contest 48 in Nordfjord, Kimmystan.
Before the Contest
For a second edition in a row, there have been calls to withdraw from the contest due to scheduling conflicts and the ongoing economic crisis that is still gripping Asankon. However, ARTVC confirmed participation early on 7 May 2018 saying that it is imperative Asankoni talent is represented in international contests. On 17 May 2018, Turkish singer Can Kiziltug was selected. Can mysteriously pulled out a few days later so on 21 May 2018, the Asankoni broadcaster swiftly selected Ukrainian singer Mika Newton to represent the country with "Come Out and Play".
