Be Our Star is the Lettucian national preselection of the Outernatia Song Contest. The competition, organised by Lettuce Broadcasting Corporation (LBC), was first introduced to select the entry for the fourth edition of the contest.

The competition is among the most popular television programmes in Lettuce, and it is also broadcast on radio and the Internet. Be Our Star has been used to select entries for the Internatia Second Chance Contest as well.

The festival has produced three runner-ups for Lettuce at the Outernatia Song Contest, as well as one top-five placing for Lettuce at the Internatia Second Chance Contest.
