National Final
Saint Eva & Lepland held a national final for the first time, called "Island Voices". Due to an almost non-existent music scene, ten artists from foreign countries were asked to present a song from their existing repertoire to win the chance to represent Saint Eva & Lepland, with two runner-ups receiving a wildcard to the next edition of Island Voices. It was televised on the 24th of August in Saint Eva & Lepland, and during the following week it was also broadcast in San Monique, Kosma and Sibinia. All four countries voted on the songs, and on the 1st of September the results were tallied. It transpired that Kerrie Roberts had won the NF, with her song "Rescue Me (How the Story Ends)".
ISCC
As of ISCC 23, three of the songs from the national final have competed in the Internatia Second Chance Contest:

---|---|---|---|---|
ISCC 2 | The Overtones | "Gambling Man" | 3 | 73 |
ISCC 13 | Belinda Carlisle | "I Plead Insanity" | 3 | 76 |
ISCC 16 | Bree Sharp | "America" | 10 | 45 |
Controversy
Several groups lobbied for the disqualification of the winning song, claiming that it was in clear breach of rules forbidding religious content being broadcast on the national station. Singer Kerrie Roberts and songwriter Robert Graves reportedly refuted this claim. The IBU investigated and found that there were "no significant religious themes present in this song", therefore Roberts was allowed to perform at the Internatia Song Contest. Had she been disqualified, runner-up Esther Hart would have been sent instead.
