Tikata participated in the Internatia Song Contest 13, and RTRT decided to select their entry internally. Dulce Pontes represented Tikata with the song "Canção do Mar", which qualified from the first semi-final and went on to win the contest in the final, scoring 162 points.

Selections

On 1 June 2013, RTRT announced that Dulce Pontes, with song "Canção do Mar" will represent Tikata in the Internatia Song Contest 13 in Siegeslinde, Spirevo.

At Internatia

Tikata was allocated to compete in the first semi-final on 17 July for a place in the final. In the first semifinal, Tikata performed 20th, following Sunetti and preceding Monteverde. Dulce Pontes received 113 points and placed 1st, thus qualifying for the final on 3 August.

In the final, Tikata was drawn to performed 6th, after Sunetti and preceding Swelatie. The Tikatan entry received votes from 20 countries and won the contest. Dulce Pontes scored a total of 162 points.
