Grolskira participated in the Internatia Song Contest 25 in Leshkent, Leshia. They originally chose their representant straight after ISC 21 semifinal results show in Stettino, Monteverde and Coldplay were appointed to try for the second time in ISC with "The Scientist". However, it all changed due to schedule conflicts and the actual Grolskiric ISC representants for ISC 25 are Muse with "Panic Station".
Various negotiations
While ISC 25 seemt to be an important one, as Grolskira's national day is on July 26, GLTV couldn't make their mind up for ISC 25 choice as there were various negotiations starting with their secret entrant (which moved to ISC 30), then Sara Bareilles (ISC 26), Coldplay with "Paradise" (ISC 21) and other unknown ones.
Coldplay
After Coldplay were sent to ISC afterall, they didn't do well in ISC 21 with their "Paradise". Media and critics were booing Grolskira off for sending a "fake" band. However, GLTV and their partners GrolSat offered Coldplay another chance few days after ISC 21 semifinal results to perform "Charlie Brown" in ISC 25. Coldplay eventually agreed to do so. However, about week later after that, GLTV made yet another decision regarding Coldplay in ISC 25 and decided to offer them to sing "The Scientist" instead. which was accepted but with a little struggling, because the band members thought that "this will be a little too whiny for ISC". GLTV viewers seemt to call this "a manipulative decision", since GLTV never seemt to send the same act to ISC twice. But this was about to be their first time. Later on ISC 29 did follow, as Bryn Christopher was already sent to ISC 13 and got another chance to sing there but this time - in his band I See MONSTAS in ISC 29.
But there was something secret that GLTV never revealed. After ISC 23 good luck show ended, everyone were surprised by the guest appearance of something that GLTV decided not to reveal, and the guest appearance came in right after Lenka's line while singing "Demons" by Imagine Dragons, hinting that it could possibly be new GLTV & GrolSat choice for ISC 25. A couple called The Photoseekers found out GLTV's office picture shared in Facejournal (Grolskiric Facebook) and decided to get the entrance to GLTV. They managed to sneak in and found the office door with a sticky note saying: "Panic station reached. Please press 1-2-3-4 on the codephone to see fire in your eyes." The Photoseekers entered the office and saw a trashbin full of a lot of sticky notes, such as "Live guitars", "Must be excitingly awesome since we wanted to use someone who's relevant in music history, yet unnoticed. #truetalent" and "One of our favourite rock acts this year!" They left the office but they found yet another sticky note saying: "Prepare to be shocked. #isc25" and the lattest was written in red color. [1] After the incident, GLTV claimed that the sticky notes are just sometimes named as their "mini Facebook" in the office and they don't mean anything personal until they actually find them useful and they turn out to be true. However, they definitely confirmed that Coldplay will go to ISC 25, which, as was revealed on Sunday night, June 1st 2014, will be hosted in Leshia.
Schedule conflicts and final choice
Even though Coldplay were confirmed both by GLTV and GrolSat as Grolskiric ISC 25 participants in public, there were various negotiations still going on within ISC 25 between GLTV & GrolSat meetings. At one point they even were heard denying Coldplay's ISC appearance, even Coldplay's stuff's co-producer Brian Eno was heard saying that he doesn't want to let them perform on ISC once again. A final decision was made on very very late night straight before ISC 25 semifinals due to schedule mismatch and Muse were sent to Leshia instead. The entry that is chosen by GLTV and GrolSat for Muse was "Panic Station" from their so far current latest album, The 2nd Law, which was released in 2012, but "Panic Station" was released in 2013 as a single. And the special guest of ISC 23's "good luck" show was the band's frontman, Matthew Bellamy, who appeared like 'out of nowhere' for the rest of the people who were watching the show, singing the last line of the bridge of "Demons": "unless you show me how".
It was sorta known that what The Photoseekers found at the GLTV's main office door was true, and also the "Prepare to be shocked" sticky note was also true, since Coldplay wasn't going to ISC afterall.
At ISC
Grolskira performed 2nd in Semifinal 1. The semifinal choice was determined by using the current pots system. The draw was determined on July 1st. Following Kaledonii and preceeding Luzze Grolskiric people did not thought being drawn 2nd is a good choice since they never qualified performing 2nd. First time they were drawn 2nd to perform in Semifinal 2 in ISC 13, Grolskira came last but HKJIADH did not vote that edition, therefore it was "promoted" to second last ranking place. However, in ISC 15 the same draw number was given for Grolskira when they were performing in Semifinal 1 and came 14th in the semifinal, finishing below all the qualifiers (the IJ qualifier of this semifinal placed 13th in the semifinal). Their fears were confirmed when it was revealed Grolskira did not qualify to the ISC 25 finals having only 23 points collected in the semifinal and ending up 24th, only being higher than 3 nations overall.
Video reviews
As soon as GLTV and GrolSat presented the official recap for ISC 25 Semi 1,[2] it got a lot of praises from other Internatian countries for great job and chosen recap bits, but suggested to look for better recap banner size. After that, a serious avalanche of video reviews began and Pebbleland[3] said that they like the song and will vote Grolskira. However, Bubblitrius[4] didn't got really fond of the song and thought that Grolskira should've sent Coldplay afterall. Valdron[5] even remarked that this is the "worst Muse song ever". Spirevo and Stylé also did video reviews.
