Grolskira participated in the Internatia Song Contest 22 in Tuscan City, Beige. They selected their song through joint national final called "El Gran Festival de Kosmallán vs. Grolskirevo 9".
GLTV received a request from TEVELLÁN & K2 to participate in El Gran Festival and GLTV accepted. GLTV chose the theme called "different languages", later changed to "national languages". Later Spirevo was added to this national final.
The show
El Gran Festival 9 features 2 songs from each contributing country: Kosma, Tonallán, Grolskira in Spirevo. Each of them are sung in their national languages: Kosma used English songs and one of them partly in French, Tonallán - both songs in Spanish, Grolskira - a song in English and a song partly in English (the rest of the song being entirely in Romanian) and Spirevo - both songs in English.
Grolskira was drawn to perform in Semi 1 in spot number 12, following Rata Sum and preceding Saint Eva & Lepland. Some of the Grolskiric people didn't see being drawn 12th in semifinal as a good sign when knowing what it might bring but they sighed in relief when it was revealed that they are actually drawn in Semi 1, which is always luckier for Grolskira because they qualified from there most of times (except ISC 15 and ISC 16). A positive recap ranking was received from Irdminia again but this time Grolskira was 3rd there even though Irdminians seemed to be shown loving the song. Most of the criticism for the song came from Saint Eva & Lepland. Despite that and the other countries' criticism as well, Grolskira pulled out a qualification which surprised many, since they didn't see it coming. Grolskiric people were surprised because they didn't see an entry with a rap bit doing well, letting alone the qualification. Also they were overwhelmed with the fact that an alternative rock band manages to qualify for Grolskira after Bastille and Coldplay didn't manage to do so. Another thing was that all the songs that won the entrance to ISC 21 or ISC 22 from El Gran Festival 9 managed to qualify. And this was the first time all Grolskiric neighbours (Tashkveny, Yazminia, Ova Anova and Pen Island) qualified.
In the final Grolskira was drawn to perform 17th, following Stylé and preceding Irdminia. Overally Grolskira came 19th in the final with 90 points. And in the end it was revealed that Grolskira was successful due to the International Jury vote and managed to qualify even when being 17th in the semi with 51 points. Sadly, detailed International Jury result was never revealed (along with final Waiting List votes) since RTB immediately demolished Beige entirely straight after the show. However, RTB left the semifinal results and the exact IJ placings. Grolskira was ranked 6th there with 47 points.
