Gandhara participated in the Outernatia Song Contest 16 in Suacaerus, Auspikitan. Their entry was selected through the national final Nights of Gandhara, organised by the Gandhari broadcaster Radio and Television of Gandhara (RTG).

Gülyaru won the national final and represented Gandhara with the Uyghur language song "Shirinjan".

"Shirinjan" won by a 20-point margin, having been ranked first by five of the juries.

The fourth placed song, "March On" by Safura, was sent as Gandhara's entry to the Internatia Second Chance Contest 24, and went on to win the contest, bringing Gandhara their second consecutive victory.

On 4 December 2015, an allocation draw was held which placed each country into one of the two semi-finals.[2] Gandhara was placed into the second semi-final, to be held on 15 December 2015.

In the second semi-final, Gülyaru performed 9th in the running order, following Lettuce and preceding Raingate. At the close of the voting "Shirinjan" had received 33 points from 6 countries, placing Gandhara 10th of 14 competing countries.
