Gandhara hosted the Outernatia Song Contest 9 in Rhea after winning the Outernatia Song Contest 7 with the song "Aman" performed by Myriam Fares. Their entry was selected through the national final Nights of Gandhara, organised by the Gandhari broadcaster Radio and Television of Gandhara (RTG).[1]

Samira Said won the national final and represented Gandhara with the Arabic language song "Mazal".

"Mazal" won by a 8-point margin, having been ranked first by three of the juries.
